Michael Fehr has just completed his residency at The Sangam House in Bangalore and performed at the Galle Literary Festival 2017 in Sri Lanka.
About the author :
Michael Fehr studied at the Swiss Institute for Literature and the Bern Arts College from 2007 – 2012, where he gained his Master degree in Contemporary Arts Practice. Fehr suffers from juvenile macular degeneration , low vision, which compels him to create his works by dictation, creating a unique oeuvre of incomparable poetical and musical qualities, thus referring to himself as being “A Narrator” – A writer who does not write. In 2013, he published his first work of fiction ‘Kurz vor der Erlösung’ (On the Verge of Salvation), which was followed 2 years later by his second work ‘Simeliberg’ a literary thriller, which won the Kelag Prize at the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in 2014. Michael is also a storyteller and supports ‘Babelsprech’ and ‘Treibhaus’, two initiatives to promote young German speaking poetry and literature.
